~ When entering the classroom you are welcome to have your audio on, as well as your video, if you would like to participate in any pre-class discussion with your teacher and fellow yogis - when class begins the teacher will ask you to kindly turn off your video and mute your audio for the duration of the practice.

~ Props - if you do not have props at home but enjoy using them for your practice, you can utilize large heavy books in lieu of blocks, a scarf/belt/tie in lieu of a strap and pillows/sofa cushions in place of bolsters.

~ Music - teachers will not be using music during class so that we can ensure that you are able to hear their instructions clearly. You may however choose your own music to play in the background after you have placed yourself on mute.

Taking Refuge in the Divine: A Kirtan

To be Rescheduled

When we chant the sacred sounds of the Divine, connecting to the energies of Light and Love, we feel a holding and a comfort, which is the practice of taking refuge. We can simply celebrate the knowing and embrace of this light and love; or perhaps, we need to feel the transformation out of a darker moment or place into the light via the holding of this unconditional love.

Join us for an afternoon of taking refuge in the vibrations of the sacred sounds of the Divine, the shared energy of our amazing community, and the embodied dharma of light and love.

Angela will weave together the chanting of mantras, brief readings to highlight the dharma, and periods of meditative silence to create an afternoon of refuge, healing, and inspiration.

108 Sun Salutations for Peace

To be Rescheduled

The Sun Salutation unites body, mind and breath in a rhythmic flow that exemplifies meditation in motion. When committing to this already transformative practice for an extended period of time, we increase the potential for creating a profound shift.

Renowned mathematicians of Vedic culture viewed the number 108 as sacred, a representation of the wholeness of existence. Yogis have always used this number, or a derivation of it, to chant or meditate. We will continue in this tradition, offering the challenge of 108 sun salutations  as a means to calm the mind, open the heart and experience inner peace. When able to do so on the mat, we find it easier to access when encountering difficult scenarios off the mat as well.

Each action we take toward developing our own inner peace, in turn allows us to introduce that peace into the world.

About Angela: Angela Cays has been working towards transforming suffering and empowering others for decades as a high school math teacher and tutor; licensed professional counselor (LPC); and as a yoga instructor since the fall of 2006. She guides her students to reveal light and shadow, to become more fully embodied and aware of all layers of our being (koshas); to awaken intuition, life force energy (prana), and touch moments of deep peace as well as great expansion.

Her continued education as a counselor and yoga instructor led her deeper into the subtle body through learning modules in her advanced yoga teacher training with Sheryl and Neil Edsall at Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock, NJ and trainings at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA on Psychotherapy and Spirituality, as well as Psychology of the Chakras, Mind Body Integration, and Creating on Purpose with Anodea Judith.  Having a spark of curiosity about Reiki when she first started taking yoga classes, it was about 20 years later, as a continuation of studying and working with the subtle body, she received her Level I, Level II and Reiki Master attunements from her beloved teacher, Sheryl Edsall, along with the radiant Eileen Alexander.

Angela benefits deeply from practicing Reiki for self-care in addition to sharing this healing modality with others.  Through many years of studying and teaching yoga, and receiving the Reiki attunements, she continues to develop a more heightened awareness of subtle body energy. She feels honored to hold a sacred space for healing and growth through the universal energy of Reiki, as well as her group yoga classes, workshops and kirtans, private yoga, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping sessions.

Breathwork Meditation

Saturday, April 25
7:00pm - 9:00pm

Breathwork Healing is a powerful meditation tool, utilizing a specific 2 part breathwork technique (taught by David Elliott), to facilitate a release of stuck energy, thought patterns and emotional baggage. With this guided breath meditation, memories, deep rooted belief systems (created or passed down), stress, trauma, loss, grief, fear, anxiety, and whatever else is hiding in the body, can find it’s way to the surface and into our awareness which begins the process of healing. Once we are freed up in the areas that have been blocked off or weighed down we can begin to experience deeper levels of joy and love, new-found creativity and healthy ways of self-love and self-expression.

Within a group dynamic this work takes on a powerful energy, creating a space of safety, unity, and the opportunity to grow in community. Through reaching into the higher levels of consciousness, releasing stuck energy and blocked emotions, you will leave feeling lighter and brighter.

A Note for Preparations...

Please bring the following items:
*Yoga Mat
*Eye cover (or washcloth to cover your eyes)
*2 Smooth Stones (about the size of your palms) - If you do not have any we have some extras!

Lastly, please try to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start time. This will allow you the time to get comfortable before we begin.

Get to know Judy Belluardo!!!

Judy’s love of all things yoga began with her teacher training at Naturally Yoga, with

Sheryl and Neil Edsall.  Her additional trainings in Restorative Yoga, with Ellen Pfeffer

of Masala Yoga and Jillian Pransky contributed to her desire to teach.  Her ongoing

yoga education and life study continue to inspire her. Most recently, she has taken a

Nature and Forest Therapy. She has taken her passion for mindfulness into the

outdoors as a certified Forest “Bathing” Therapy Guide.

Judy’s classes are infused with pranayama (breath work) and gentle movement which is

used to prepare the body for long holdings of supported restorative poses.  Her classes

and a connection to self.

Q & A

What is one of your favorite poses and why?

One of my favorite poses is Balasana or Child’s Pose. I love the sense of security and surrender it evokes in me. It releases any lower back tension I may be feeling and helps me quiet my mind.

What is one of your least favorite poses and why?

Standing balancing poses have always been my least favorite. I have always struggled with them. That is no surprise to me as l frequently struggle with finding balance in my life.

What do you hope students walk away from your class with?

I hope that students walk away feeling more centered, relaxed and rejuvenated; that they leave with a quieter mind and deeper connection to their essence.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

There are so many favorites! I am a fan of the Persian poet Rumi.

One of my favorite quotes by him is:

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.

I’ll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.”

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

A guilty pleasure of mine is the show, “Survivor”! I have enjoyed watching its evolution over the years.
